Inspect a Used Excavator Like You Are Buying the Next Repair Bill
A used excavator can look clean in photos and still carry expensive problems in the undercarriage, hydraulic system, cooling package, pins, bushings, final drives, electronics, or service history. The best inspection does not start with paint. It starts with identity, hours, configuration, application history, leak evidence, measured wear, and a warm operating test.

2. Undercarriage Inspection
Undercarriage condition can decide whether a used excavator is a bargain or a project. Inspect both sides, not only the side facing the camera. Look for uneven wear, dry pins, loose or missing shoe bolts, cracked shoes, hooked sprockets, leaking rollers, damaged idlers, packed material, and signs the track has been run too tight or too loose.
