Volvo EC220E Hydraulic Overheating: Start With the Whole Work Cycle
A Volvo EC220E that develops hot hydraulic oil, slow boom response, weak travel, pump noise or attachment fade should be diagnosed in context. The same symptom can come from cooler restriction, low oil, foaming, contaminated oil, high attachment load, relief operation, track drag, engine speed issues or a sensor/fan-control problem. Before replacing parts, document what the machine was doing when the symptom appeared.
